Congrats! :)
STATEMENT ON ROBERTS CONFIRMATION
Judicial Confirmation Network Chief Counsel Wendy E. Long stated today, upon the U.S. Senate's confirmation, by a vote of 78 to 22, of Judge John G. Roberts to be Chief Justice of the United States:
"The Senate has overwhelmingly confirmed Chief Justice Roberts, a strong judicial conservative who will carry President George W. Bush's legacy on the Court well into the 21st Century. All Americans can be proud and confident that their rights, liberties, and ability to govern themselves will be safe in the hands of Chief Justice Roberts and other Justices who abide by the philosophy of judicial restraint and faithfulness to the Constitution."
Congrats John Roberts! You show those nasty liberal senators you are not an agenda driven nutcase and get the big robe! Boo-yah!
Always a good thing to have a solid seeming Christian man leading the highest court in the land!
Now, to get Roe v. Wade repealed...
It'll be interesting to see if this Univ. of Akron alum female judge gets through to the final list/etc., even though I don't know much about her yet.
Although this one lady at work picking something up yesterday did mention that her son did his senior project with the judge's husband, so that's at least a sign of positive community involvement in the family, right?
Oh, and interesting site I plan to spend more time looking on I found during a FOXNEWS search on Robert's articles... Anyone else checks it out, I'd appreciate an opinion!
