Since I haven't touched on books for a while...

....Possibly because I haven't had time to actually READ anything (short of a quick fiction fix I can breeze through without having to THINK about) in... Well... The summer sometime?

So, obviously, going into Thanksgiving/Christmas time is a GREAT time to try and start reading books again!

...Or possibly not.

Anyways...

Can't wait to read Bankrupt: The Intellectual and Moral Bankruptcy of Today's Democratic Party by David Limbaugh . Loved Persecution: How Liberals Are Waging War Against Christianity when I read it!

Now that I'm looking at other Limbaugh book type things, I Don't Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist (also by Norman L. Geisler and Frank Turek) sounds right up my alley, as well.

(It always boggles me how much denial- as apposed to faith- it takes to believe in, well, NOTHING.)

I've got The Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy's Dossier on Hillary Clinton by Amanda B. Carpenter home (just, sadly unread as of tonight) from the library right now- and the fact that I'm am (100% certain) the first person to check it out just makes my day! ;)

If you think you had a bad day...

Toddler Gets Trapped Inside Vending Machine

That poor grandmother!

And you notice you never hear stories about little GIRLS becoming trapped in toy machines? Little boys should be kept in cages between the ages of 2 and 6 for their own protection.

...And then again between 13 and... Well... Whatever age my brothers outgrow this lovely "stage: they're in now. (And please God may it be soon!)

Poor fishie...

Lol, check this comic... Makes me laugh. Actually, all the one's I've read so far are amusing.

I feel for the poor conservative goldfish trapped in this family! ;)

Random blogging...

Much lovin' to Maggie's newest column! (Although, it making me laugh in a public library was not so much of a good thing...)

Best Part: "Worse, this attitude has infected believers themselves and produced some Grade-D thinking. Take, for instance, the popular bumper sticker that proclaims, “Jesus was a liberal!” If a nineteenth-century ghost were to rise from its Athens grave and begin to scream, “Jesus was a Whig!” or “Jesus was a Constitutional Unionist!” we would all have a good laugh at his expense and blithely go back to scrolling through our cell phones. It would be clear to everyone that those political labels, entrenched as they are in the muck and grime of the past, are ultimately inseparable from their particular moment in history and cannot be appropriately applied to a Jew who lived and died two thousand years ago and is believed to be currently reigning in Heaven."

So... From this, I am to assume that Jesus was not, in fact, a Whig? Darn! There goes that dear held theory of mine down the drain! ;) ;)

Weather has evened out. (= No snow yet.) Sure LOOKS like winter, though.

In related news, I either need to take the hint and find my gloves (which I am starting to think were eaten by the troll under my bed) or just buck up and buy new ones.

I had two honest to God days off in a row! Bads news is I have to close the next five days in a row. :groan:

Maggie comes home in six weeks!

...And I'm off to Bible study...

I don't want it to snow tomorrow, snow tomorrow... I don't want it to snow tomorrow because it isn't even freaking Halloween yet!

Everybody sing along! (It goes something to the tune of Peter, Paul, and Mary's "Going to the Zoo Tomorrow" song that I listened to 15 millions times when I was about five.)

Seriously though... Summer gave up WAY too early this year. Like, before Labor Day. Which means it might now snow until April or June. :whines:

Also, I need to dig my gloves out of the coat closet tonight before I sit through my brother's football game tomorrow. While I'm sure stuff will fall and most likely hit me in the head, I am less sure I'm actually going to find my gloves.

Luckily he is a so called "first string" which I hope means I can leave the snowy, slushy, sleety weather earlier.

Blonde football

A guy took his blonde girlfriend to her first football game. They had great seats right behind their team's' bench. After the game, he asked her how she liked the experience.

"Oh, I really liked it," she replied, "especially the tight pants and all the big muscles, but I just couldn't understand why they were killing each other over 25 cents."

Dumbfounded, her date asked, "What do you mean?"

"Well, they flipped a coin, one team got it and then for the rest of the game, all they kept screaming was: 'Get the quarterback! Get the Quarterback!' I'm like...Helloooooo? It's only 25 cents!!!! "

And the sad thing is... The is about as much about football as I understand. Baseball's great, hockey is exciting, but football... Is a language I no speak so much. ;)

ID....

Wow, look! I made an ID pic. And that only took, what, a year? (Also, I'm sensing a recent post theme... Can't quite make out what it is, but it's there...)

Yay for playing with Photoshop, lol! ;)

Update/edit: This picture is even more on target with my point, lol! ;) ;)
